Parents, pupils and school staff were present at the event which was also attended by Mr. Adam Austerfield, Vice-President of the British Chamber of Commerce and Director of Global Market Development at the London School of Economics, Mr. Adrian Massam, President of NABSS and Ms. Nicole Louis, Cognita Director of Communications, Marketing and Admissions on a world-wide level.
The speeches delivered by our afore-mentioned guests, made several references to the cultural ties between Spain and Great Britain, Hastings School’s 45 years as a teaching institution, the importance of a British education in the fast-paced world of change we live in and the excellent academic results achieved by our pupils year after year, which make us one of the very best Cognita schools.
Our pupils were of course the stars of the event. Indeed we could have mentioned this at the very beginning of the article, but it is only fair that we finish off by talking about the best part of the evening. Before speeches were made by our guests, two pupils interpreted splendidly three short compositions by Mozart and another pupil played two magnificent themes on the piano. The highlight of the musical interlude was David Bowe’s famous Space Oddity, sung by the Primary school choir.
This marks the beginning of a new era for Hastings School. The best is yet to come!
