The Student Council at Hastings School is raising funds and promoting awareness for the Movember Foundation this month. This is a world-wide organisation of charity committed to the fight against men’s illnesses, such as prostate cancer or testicular cancer. During the month of November, the foundation encourages men to grow moustaches as a gesture of support, whilst asking for all people to raise awareness and provide help through fundraising. The Student Council is sponsoring the cause by challenging staff and higher form students to grow moustaches throughout this month as well as by selling symbolic moustache pins at 0.50 € to raise money and other moustache themed events. All of the funds raised will be sent directly to the Movember Foundation through its website (http://es.movember.com/). The Student Council representatives will go around offering the moustache pins, and anyone interested in supporting this noble cause further should rush to make an additional donation.
