Hastings School is an independent British international school in Madrid, Spain. Students typically leave with three or four A Levels and results are particularly impressive given that for most students English is their second language. Students often take additional subjects in Spanish to fulfil local university requirements.
In 2020, onsite teaching ended due to a national decree on March 10th and started online the following day. Students continued their full timetable using Teams. No face-to-face classes took place for the rest of the academic year. As a result, International Cambridge AS level exams were deferred to Autumn 2020.
Hastings School reopened to physical classes in September 2020 and will continue to teach in school or online, depending on regulations and the health of students and teachers.
