Hastings students continue to win better and more international university places

As the final students confirm their placements, it is clear that Hastings students will be represented among the best universities next year. Students achieved places in USA, France, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, England, Scotland and Wales in the UK and here in Spain. We also have students very strongly positioned to earn places in Ireland and Australia when their application processes are complete.

The UK continues to be the most popular destination, 45% of students will be studying there in the autumn. Of those, almost half (46%) will be studying at the UK top ten destinations* of University of Cambridge, UCL (University College London), Imperial College London, University of Edinburgh, University of Warwick and University of Manchester, with a further 12% confirming their places with the excellent University of Bath.

30% of students have chosen to study in Spain, almost 20% of whom will be at the first-class public universities of Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and a further 22% have won highly competitive places at the private IE University and ICADE.

11% of students are due to start their degrees next week in the Netherlands, more than half of whom will be in the Dutch top ten universities Leiden University, Erasmus University Rotterdam, University of Groningen, Vrije University and Maastricht University.

5% of students are awaiting confirmation of their Irish applications on September 7th. All of whom hold strong applications to both Trinity College, Dublin and University College, Dublin.

One student has just flown to New York to start her course in Fine Arts at Cooper Union NYC, while another will soon begin his Engineering Technology degree at European top 15 university KU Leuven in Belgium. Another student will be reading Fashion Design in Paris, France (ESMOD), two more are soon to start their studies in Milan, Italy, with a further student soon to arrive in Berlin, Germany, to study Architecture. Finally, one more is completing her application to specialise in Marine Sciences at Wollongong University, Australia.

We are proud that we have future doctors, vets, engineers, pilots, mathematicians, computer scientists, economists, film makers, architects, lawyers, chemists, physicists, biologists, artists, fashion designers, and leaders in international relations and global sustainable development in our graduating class of 2021 and we wish them all well.
