The aim of this day was to make children experience how the scientific method work, make them elaborate their own hypothesis, test it and present their results and conclusion. The activity consisted of a presentation of some posters with information about an investigation carried out by each group of pupils during the previous weeks at the school and something really interesting called the ‘Egg drop challenge’. They had to design a contraption to protect an egg dropped from a first floor window.
This was a really good opportunity for our pupils to show their work to other peers in Maxwell as well as develop their communication skills.
They really enjoyed the day, even when the judges measured the quality of their work!
