Head of Primary's Welcome

Dear Parents and Students,

This campus houses our Primary  pupils from Year 5 to Year 6, and contains several specialist areas: food and technology classroom, IT classroom, multi-purpose space (indoor fitness, assemblies, drama) and a library.

Physical education lessons are offered in a rented sports facility which is 200m away from the school gates.

The teachers are UK qualified and experienced, plus we have Spanish qualified staff who offer the obligatory Spanish language and humanities courses to our pupils up to Year 6.

In September 2017 this building became an Upper Key Stage 2centre: Years 5 & 6 only. Our Year 7 to Year 13 groups are in our campus in Lorenzo Solano Tendero.

Kind regards,

Helen Ormerod
Head of Primary and Interim Headteacher

Breadth of study in a bicultural context

The schemes of work at Hastings School are based on the British National Curriculum and obligatory elements of the Spanish curriculum. Pupils follow the whole range of subjects of the National Curriculum and, in addition, study Spanish Language and Humanities. In this way they receive a broader and bicultural education, which better equips them for modern life.
